Swinging Jack

Mom and I went to the playground today. Fun times. She was kind of mumbling about the depth of the safety surfacing but whatever. Turn up your volume to hear the delightful giggles of the cutest boy! KaBOOM! friends, this is why we build playgrounds for kids! Oh and I didn't fall out of the swing, just gave my Mom a little scare.

Jack crawls! Jack crawls!

On Monday, I was playing with mom and the computer modem with its fun green lights caught my eye. So I just took off across the room to get to it. Mom freaked out! She was screaming and laughing, so proud, blah blah. I just am so glad I finally figured out to get where I want to go. Here's mom trying to coax me to crawl for the second time just to make sure it really did happen. Oh I also went for my 9 month checkup last week and I was 20 lbs and 30 inches!

Wedding Weekend- Congrats Mike and Lisa!

Mom, Dad and I packed our bags and headed to NY for our fourth wedding in five weks. Yeah for so many people in love! My mom's cousin Mike got married to Lisa. It was a great weekend besides the plane ride home when they closed the Atlanta airport and diverted us to Huntsville for a while. Our 2 hour trip became a 5 hour one but I was such a good boy.
The wedding was fabulous! They don't mess around in NY. When mom and dad got to the reception, there was a cocktail hour with lots of yummy food including this Chinese food table. So creative! Then everyone went into a ballroom where there was a seated dinner. Here is a pic of the happy couple, my Mimi and her sisters and all of my mom's cousins.

Wedding Weekend- Saturday lunch

I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting my great- great Aunt Honey on Saturday. She and Ellie came over from Garden City for lunch. We were all very happy to see them.

Wedding Weekend- Friday

When we got to NY, we went straight to my great Aunt Maureen's house for a BBQ. Here are some pics of my family, my Mimi and her 5 siblings, me and Maeve and my mom and some of her cousins. Everyone lives in NY except the Connors.It was so fun to meet all these fun people!

Weekend Fun

My Aunt Ann (dad's sister) and Uncle Ryan came to visit from St Louis this weekend. Ryan is doing his residency at Wash U and Ann works for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. We went to the Alba's pool and Uncle Jay and his family came too. My cousins Chandlyr and Baylee enjoyed swimming with me. After church today, Ann fed me potatoes and I really liked them. I love playing with her and Ryan. After they got on the road, me and Mom and Dad went to visit my friend and neighbor Ryan New. She is only 2 weeks old but I know we will be playing soon! It was a great weekend!

Movie Night

Besides his day job, my dad owns an outdoor movie company called Movies by Moonlight. They did a movie- Shrek 2- at our local Y last night so we went up there to check things out. See how big the screen is! I liked hanging out in the tailgating chair although we didn't stay for the movie b/c it was past my bedtime. I am sure it was a great show!

Sitting in my crib

This week-for the first time- mom came in to find me sitting up in my crib after naptime. Quite shocking at first, now she smiles when she comes in. She and Dad are going to have to lower the mattress so I don't climb out. I am getting to be such a big boy!

I love standing at my learning table. I bounce up and down when the music plays. Mom says I get my dance moves from my dad!

Betsy and James' Rehearsal Dinner

Betsy and James had their rehearsal dinner at Calhoun's on the River. It was a great night of roasts and toasts! Above is a picture of the happy couple in front of James' favorite football stadium :) -he is a UGA grad! Then one of my mom and dad being cheesy, then the Bearden High Girls, then the roomies.

Betsy and James got hitched! It was a wonderful wedding weekend in Knoxville! I got to wish Betsy good luck when we dropped mom off at the church. She looked so pretty! The bridemaids bouquets were gorgeous! Here is a pic of Betsy and James just after they walked down the aisle. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Couch!

Maeve and Jack

I had a great weekend in Knoxville. We all went up for Betsy and James' wedding. I didn't participate much but I had lots of quality time with Maeve. She liked to kiss me and push me around on her pink bike. I am so lucky to have a cousin like Maeve!

Home Depot friends

A long, long time ago my mom started a job at The Home Depot office. She worked with some really great women- Julie, Tammy, Cathi, CJ and Carolyn. All have since left THD and Carolyn has moved the farthest- to Switzerland! My mom loved working with these ladies and they had a big influence on her as she started her career. Today in honor of Carolyn's visit to the states, we met at a park for lunch and catch up time. Pictured above are Maggie Austin, Danielle Cahn, me, Sophie Austin, Hannah Day and Jesse Cahn. Only Hannah was born when our moms worked together. Oh how times have changed! We had a really fun time and I hope we can get together again soon!

My new trick

My dad taught me how to hold my own bottle. I am getting really good at it. This morning I drank the whole thing while holding it myself. My mom is kind of sad b/c she likes to hold me and feed me the bottle but it is convenient when I am hungry and she is trying to do something else. I am growing up!

Our friends Courtney and Aaron got married today! My mom and dad went to the wedding and beautiful reception at the Ravinia. Clay was Courtney's camp counselor many years ago!! Kind of makes him feel old but we are so happy for the new Mr. and Mrs. Foye!

Aunt Tricia comes to visit

My Great Aunt Tricia came from New York to visit me. We had a great time with Mimi and my mom, eating, shopping and visiting. I was such a good boy!
