The stairs

Daddy taught me how to go down the stairs all by myself. He showed me and then I did it! Mommy was amazed. Here I am going down and then up. P.S. My dad is bilingual so that is him in the background. He likes to talk to me in Spanish alot.

Tricks and Treats

My Mom and Dad ran the Silver Comet Half Marathon this morning. They did very well- my mom even beat her 2 previous times (that she ran before she had me). My good friends, Jenna and Erica, came over this morning at 6:30am so Mom and Dad could go to the race. They fed me breakfast and got me ready. We even made Mom and Dad this great poster. They are so wonderful and we are so lucky to have friends like them! We went to the end of the course and waited for Mom and Dad. I loved clapping for all the runners.
Here I am congratulating Mom and Dad. I am so proud of them!
After an afternoon of resting, we went to church for the Trunk or Treat. Everyone decorated their trunks and had games and candy. I wore my costume. If you can't tell, I am a Jack in the Box! I loved going from car to car in my convertible.
Daddy sat in the car, dressed as a Virginia fan, to give out candy. Really he wanted to listen to the end of the GA/FL game. Go dawgs!

Fall is Here!

My nanny, Cory, bought me this great dinosaur toy that I put balls in and
they come out all over. I love it!!!

Goose and Uncle Ryan came in town today to buy Uncle Ryan a new car! We met them for lunch and got to see his new ride- an Infiniti G35!
Fall means lots of baking in our house. My mom has been trying all sorts of new things. Above are candy corn cookies. They are an orange flavored sugar cookie.

These are owl cupcakes. The eyes are butterscotch lifesavers and chocolate chips. The nose is a cashew and the feathers are almond slices.

This is mom's first try at fondant. She made the fondant from scratch and then colored it different colors, using cookie cutters for the fall shapes.

Pumpkins for a pumpkin

We headed up the North Georgia mountains today to Mercier Apple Orchard and Burt's Pumpkin Patch. It is an annual event for Mom and Dad. They even took me with them last year.
See:
Mom was hoping all that walking would help her go into labor but it was another 2 weeks before I came. What a difference a year makes!

I had so much fun roaming around all the pumpkins. I liked climbing in and out and up and down and helping push the wheelbarrel.

Night at the park

My mom, dad and I went to the park tonight with our friends Emily, Will, Kellie, Kandis, Adam and Kenedee. There was live music and we brought a picnic and I got to crawl around to my heart's desire. AND I brought my convertible and gave rides to Kenedee and Will. It was so fun!

Is it a word?

So my Mom thinks I said my first word. It has been debated if it is an actual word. It is in the dictionary. Webster's says it is "used to indicate concern or chagrin at a mildly unfortunate event." That is when I use it. I say it when I drop something- be it food on the floor, my lovey out of my crib or a ball when I am crawling. I say it all the time. I drop things just to say it b/c Mom always laughs when I do. So do YOU think "uh-oh" is a word??

Side note- If you live in Atlanta, the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is having their annual Mistletoe Market this week -Thurs-Sat at the Cobb Civic Center. It is a great holiday market with over 50 vendors. It is JLCM's biggest fundraiser so come so my Mom has more money to give to the women and children of Cobb County!http://www.jlcm.org/mistletoe.html

Beach Bums

Maeve and I had a great time at the beach together. We loved being in the water!

Mimi gave us Halloween jammies. Don't we look cute?

Mimi also bought us our very own beach chairs. She is so good to us!

While at the beach I discovered BBQ Sauce. It is my new favorite thing. Dad would dip a french fry in it and I would lick it all off and want more!

Wild Dunes

Mom, Dad and I went to Wild Dunes outside of Charleston this week. Mimi and Goose rented a house and invited all the kids to come join them for a few days! It was so much fun! We went to the beach alot, had yummy food and had a great time!
Me and Goose at lunch.

I loved playing with my Dad on the beach. He built sand castles and I knocked them down. I also ate a lot of sand. Mom tried to stop me but she wasn't going to fight it all week.

Maeve and I waited patiently for our chicken fingers. I usually ended up eating mine and hers. As soon as Aunt Shannon sends us her pictures, I will share more!

Blue eyes at 11 months

I turned 11 months old yesterday. Crazy! I love to crawl as fast as I can anywhere I am not supposed to go and giggle as I make it there. I walk from furniture to furniture but don't really have a desire to let go yet. I point at EVERYTHING and if you don't know what I am pointing at I get frustrated. I love to eat anything you have and I am starting to get the hang of a sippy cup. I like to give you whatever I have and then you have to give it back and then I give it back and then you give it back, you get the picture. I am so interactive and make noises when you talk to me it is almost like having a conversation without real words. My mom doesn't seem to care. She justs smiles and keeps talking to me. I mean, who wouldn't with these blue eyes?

Football Time In Tennessee

We roadtripped to Knoxville for the Georgia/Tennessee game. If you have been living under a rock, Tennessee CRUSHED Georgia! It was a hot day but lots of fun for Clay's first UT football experience. We joined Ryan for some tailgating before heading to the game and our great seats - thanks to our friends, Jimmy and Sally!
