Easter in Knoxville

We spent Easter and a few extra days in Knoxville for the kids Spring Break.

Shannon did a "hunt for your lunch" in her backyard. She put small pieces of pb&js, cheese, goldfish and grapes in eggs and the kids all had to find their color.

It was fun to find and fun to eat!

Cutie cousins
The next day Shannon and Cory hosted thier annual Easter Egg hunt which is becoming quite the production. They started it 5 years ago when all their friends had one child and now everyone has multiples so it is lots of kiddos and lots of fun!

Ready for the hunt

Virginia Ann was a pro by this time

Yes there were pinatas and Clay was the instructor! Love his pants!
Mimi got the girls matching dresses but no one really wanted to cooperate for a group shot. Quinn hates grass and VA was too interested in her cake pop!
Our family

My BFF Betsy and her hubby James and son Ellis came too!

Jack and Maeve outside the bounce house

VA loved the bounce house!

I think she is saying "Whoop whoop! Let's get this party started!"
There was even a balloon guy who made fabulous creations. Madeline requested a dog.
The Easter Bunny found us at Mimi and Goose's house. HE left lots of superhero things for Jack- Green Lantern, Batman walkie talkie, coloring books. Madeline got art supplies, princess shoes and pom poms to name a few things. VA got a stuffed dig and some books.

Mom wanted a group shot of the grandkids in the outfits she bought everyone. Although Jack was not happy about wearing pink, the girls loved their ruffles but NO ONE wanted to take a picture!

The three oldest cooperated for this one!
Virginia Ann and Quinn calling it a day!

First baseball game- Go Braves!

Jack had his first baseball game today! He is playing tee ball for the Braves! Ironic that my Atlanta born boy is a Brave! He LOVED it!

 Jack and our neighbor Jacob
 Mastering the swing

 The cheering section

These two will probably see alot of baseball games in the coming years!
Madeline brought her pom poms! Virginia Ann took the cheering job seriously!
I was in charge of snack- baseball cupcakes and capri suns. One mom remarked "I never thought to do cupcakes- great idea but maybe a little too much sugar." To which another mom replied "Well at least it isn't Red Bull and Pixie Sticks like my other son had at his game." WHAT????
It was a chilly morning for our first game but I am sure will be wishing for the wind when we are sweating in June!

Franklin

Whew! It is time to catch up! I have been super busy with my little business that was featured on Very Jane a few weeks ago. I sold 500 acrylic tumblers which didn't leave much time for blogging :) But we squeezed in lots of trips- three weekends in a row actually! First off- a trip to the farm in Virginia.

We hit the town Easter Egg hunt and Jack sported his madras pants that i MADE him. Yes, I did! I had been looking for some for a while but they were so expensive. We have a fabulous fabric store down the street so I bought some madras and whipped these up! He agreed to wear them but insisted on his sneakers b/c he "had to be fast."

Madeline on the hunt
Virginia Ann and Grandpa- She pretty much had candy in her mouth all morning!

Madeline and Grandma assessing her loot!

The girls, Clay and Will

Heading out for a drive around the farm!
Cousins!- Chandlyr, Madeline and Bayli

Posing in the garden

No one really wanted to cooperate for a group shot

Sisters on the swing

Everything was in bloom!

Feeding the horses- Madeline and VA fed them this time!

Virginia Ann was determined to get a good view

Climbing the Magnolia with Papa

Jack HIGH in the Magnolia tree! Scary for Mom but fun for him!
We had a great visit !
