Clarice and Drew, Charleston, SC

My mom, Betsy, Ashley and Liz (Betsy's mom) roadtripped to Charleston for Clarice and Drew's wedding. It was a quick trip for just one night but I was in good hands with my dad. The wedding was at Boone Hall Plantation and it was beautiful. The ceremony was outside in front of the house and the reception was in a barnlike building on the water. They had yummy BBQ and a great band- The Answer Band- that is actually playing at Betsy's wedding in two weeks! My mom had fun catching up with lots of high school friends. The BHS girls are pictured above- Shannon Browning Blaine, Betsy, Whitney Miller, Ashley, Clarice, Jennie, Laura Slyman Piers and Robin Meyer Houpe. Congratulations to Clarice and Drew!!

Frogger

After a long day, I love bathtime and I love my frog towel. Today I went to Mother's Morning Out so Mom could get her hair cut and take it easy. She has a cold and feels poopy. Last night she was lying in bed thinking about how bad she felt when all of the sudden she realized- SHE COULD TAKE NYQUIL! For 18 months, she has had to be cognizant of what she put in her body b/c it would affect me but not anymore!! She told me that it was wonderful giving me life and nourishment, but it is great to be able to take Nyquil too! I am sure the moms out there understand!

Future Gardener

My dad is a really good gardener. He planted lots of yummy veggies in the backyard and I helped mom pick what was ripe today. We have green peppers, jalapeno peppers, all kinds of tomatoes and okra . The squash and zucchini should be ready soon. Yeah for Daddy!

Helen, GA

We had a fun weekend visiting the Councills in Dahlonega. Grandpa and Grandma came from Virginia too! Keller turned 8 and we celebrated by going to Helen for some tubing. I am not big enough to go yet so Mom and I shopped and played on the river bank while we waited for everyone to come down the river. Here is a picture of me and Baylee, my cousin who has the same eyes as me. We also got this good shot of Keller coming down the rapids. It was a fun day!

Maeve

My cousin Maeve is such a big girl! She is pulling up on things and even crawled up the stairs this weekend. Go Maeve!

Nordstroms Yearly Sale

There are some days when my mom dresses that she laughs out loud. Friday was one. She told me it was because "I AM THE CUTEST BOY EVER." We went to our weekly Friday lunch at Nordstroms with Ginny and James and who knew they were giving away the store.!The Yearly sale started and the place was a zoo! But we got some good deals and got to have our yummy lunch at the cafe after waiting in line forever. No balloons this week. Usually a nice lady gives me a balloon but I guess since there were a bazillion other people, no balloons. Oh well. I ate puffs on the floor. Other breaking news, I am no longer a boob man. I am officially weaned- going on four days now. My mom is so happy!

Trip to Warm Springs, GA

Today Mom, Dad and I went to Warm Springs, GA where President Franklin Roosevelt had a house. He went there to spend time in the warm springs hopeful that it could cure his polio. They did not cure him but they made him feel better and he loved spending time in the South. He bought a large piece of land, built a house he called "the little white house," and opened a facility to treat polio victims. We went to "the little white house" and I got to put my hands in the warm springs! FDR was in the house, having his portrait painted, when he died. The picture of me and my dad is in front of the "unfinished portrait." The town had a cute main street where we stopped to get ice cream. My dad snuck me licks when my mom wasn't looking. She didn't think it was a good idea to give an 8 month old chocolate peanut butter ice cream! I loved it!

Mom and I went to Knoxville for the All-Star Break. Goose came home for a few days and we played alot. Maeve shared her toys with me and I swam in the pool with Uncle Ryan. We had a LSAT celebratory dinner for Ryan- he got a 167!!! We are so proud of him. I hope I grow up to be as smart as he is! It was a great trip!

Fun on the Fourth

So I started my day at Cracker Barrel. Mom and Dad decided that was a better idea than running the Peachtree :) Then- drum roll please- I drank a WHOLE bottle of formula!!! This is the third day in a row that I have been okay with the formula so I think I am ready to move on! My mom is very excited! After a good nap, we headed to the pool. I loved sitting in the waterfall and watching my dad do flips. We also had a watermelon seed spitting contest with Chloe and Cassidy. It was a really good day!

Happy 4th of July!

My Grandpa Goose gave me the perfect shirt for the 4th! Happy Day!

Weekend Fun

I had lots of fun this weekend. My dad took me to the pool while my mom went shopping. Everyone was happy! I figured out how to eat Zwieback cookies and make a big mess! We also went to a cookout where they had this fun hammock swing. I loved swinging in it with my mom.
