Rain!

It rained here Monday for the first time in forever. At least longer than Madeline remembers ever seeing rain! She loved it and both kids were so excited to put their raincoats on to go to school!

Birthday Week

I had a wonderful birthday week! My amazing husband planned a whole week of celebration for me. I was woken up Sunday morning with breakfast in bed and this beautiful poster with the week's activities. Jack and Madeline were the artists! Clay had a busy week at work so he conspired with my friends to help celebrate when he couldn't. You can see below I was a busy, well-loved girl! And my husband, he should give lessons on how to spoil your wife- he is the best!
The sous chefs
My breakfast on Sunday (I got another one on my real b-day- Tuesday)
Friday Clay's brother Will and his family came to visit. Win (6) and Greyson (4) are Jack's good buddies and they had a blast together! Madeline did her best to keep up with the boys.
I got the boys "How to Train Your Dragon" pjs and they loved playing "dragon" in them.
Madeline celebrated 19 months on Thursday and has recently become obsessed with her baby doll. We have to "feed" the baby, swaddle the baby, rock the baby, etc. It is very cute to see her be sort of maternal.
Mimi sent a package that included these fancy boots for Madgirl. She, of course, wanted to put them on immediately (and had baby in her arms, as usual).
I haven't taken any "belly" pics this pregnancy so I tried this morning and Jack and Mad wanted to be in it but not really. This was the best we got- lovely!
31 weeks

I had a great week and felt very loved. A few more birthdays in the family and then we will welcome our newest member!! We can't wait!

1st day of school

It was time to pack the backpacks again! And this year, Madeline gets to join Jack at preschool. We are all very excited!
Madeline's cute pack
A very happy Jack- he loves school and was excited to see his buddies!
Madeline seems quite excited here too although she has no idea what is about to happen!

Off to school and very excited to wear a backpack just like Jack does!
Madeline had a great day and there were no tears from her when I left. Jack didn't even say good-bye- he was way too far ahead of me and already into his classroom with his friends! And I enjoyed my four glorious hours alone- I have 21 more days like this before the baby comes. But who's counting?

Jack's first soccer game

I am very behind on the happenings of life lately. My carpel tunnel has flared up again (time for more cortisone shots) and it does not make computer time much fun. I will try to do better b.c these next couple of months will be quite exciting!

Jack had his first soccer game two weekends ago. Clay is the coach and I am pretty sure it was a dream come true for both of them!
Ready for kick-off!
On his way to score his first goal!
So maybe it was his second goal and the first was for the other team but who is counting?:)

Jack in action!
The littlest cheerleader- more concerned with the snacks, really
Heading home after a great game!

We are very excited for the season!
