So my Mom and Dad are training for a half marathon. I am the beneficiary of their runs like yesterday when they did seven miles. I sat in my stroller with the wind in my hair waving to everyone who passed by. It was a beautiful Fall morning! We continued to enjoy the day with lunch at the Roswell Square- the Fickle Pickle- where I tried fried pickles for the first time. They weren't my favorite. For dinner, we headed to our favorite BBQ place- Sam and Dave's. Me and Dad love their beans! Today, after church, we played in the leaves in the front yard and I spent significant time in my convertible. It was a great weekend!

New Wheels

My Mom and I went to a HUGE neighborhood garage sale on Friday and I walked away with some new wheels. I got outdoor wheels- see my convertible above- and indoor wheels. I love anything with wheels so I scored big time!

Concerts and playgrounds
So in 2004 my Dad and Mom ran the Country Music Marathon and Half Marathon, respectively. They randomly met Brad Paisley and his mandolin/keyboard player, Kendal Marci- it's a long story. They have stayed in touch with Kendal, who helped my Dad with his sound equipment when he started Movies By Moonlight, and have been able to see him whenever they come to Atlanta or play other cities that they might be in at the same time like Las Vegas- another long story. So they came to Atlanta on Thursday to play Hi Fi Buys Ampitheater and Kendal left Mom and Dad tickets and they got to enjoy a FREE night out! Look how close their seats were!My Mom has been busy this week building TWO playgrounds. The biggest one was today at Fain Elementary in the Adamsville area of Atlanta. Over 500 volunteers came out to build the playground including our friends Chloe and Cassidy Campa. Their mom Carol helped my mom build while they did cool projects like painting and stuff. The finished playground is below. The school had NOTHING at 7am and this is what was done by 4pm. Amazing! I can't wait to go play on it!

Mac and Cheese
I had Mac and Cheese for dinner tonight. Mom wanted to see if I liked it. UM, hello? Have you met a kid who didn't? My parents have started calling me the trash compactor b/c I will eat anything they put in front of me at rapid speed. Check it out!

Birthday Weekend
Mom's birthday weekend continued with two trips to the Vera Bradley outlet sale and a fun lunch with Cathy, Betsy and Ashley. Then last night she and Dad went to the Opening Gala of the Cobb Energy Center, the new performing arts center in Atlanta. It was stunning! They had a wonderful dinner in the grand ballroom and then sat in the 3rd row for the performance by Linda Eder and Michael Feinstein.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I played in the hammock to celebrate that Fall might finally be here. It was gorgeous outside and I love it!. I also found where mom keeps the Goldfish. Look out- here I come!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Today is Mommy's birthday. Daddy and I let her sleep in til 8am and then we brought her breakfast in bed. She was very excited! I got to go to Mother's Morning Out while she went shopping all by herself. I guess that is fun for her. Daddy brought her home a dozen roses and then took her to the Melting Pot for dinner. They ate way too much but it was so yummy. I mean, Daddy even licked the chocolate pot clean!
I was left at home to climb the fireplace, one of my new favorite hobbies. Up and down up and down all day long. :)

Brunettes, baths and blackboards
My mom and I went to Knoxville this weekend. Yes, that is her above. She and Aunt Shannon decided to go back to their roots- their real ones! Now they look like they are actually related to Uncle Ryan!
Maeve and I had a fun time in the bathtub together! She is a really good swimmer!
Uncle Ryan came over to play alot and I loved climbing on him. He is so cool!
Maeve has a neat new playroom with a wall that is magnetic and a chalkboard. I really like taking the magnets down and putting them back up again. Here I am spelling my name. I am so smart!

Seersucker Sunday!
It was my last chance- per the fashion world rules- to wear my seersucker suit so I broke it out for church today. What do you think?

Hiking in Toccoa

In celebration of the temperature finally dropping below 90, the Councills went hiking. It was my first time hiking but I loved it! I got to ride all 12 miles in this fancy backpack you see here. I talked to Dad and kept turning around to make sure Mom was behind us still- she was a little slow. See, Dad told her the trail was 3 miles in, 3 miles out- 6 total. But really it was 6 miles in, 6 miles out. Oh well. We still had fun and got to swim at the bottom of this cool waterfall.
