My friend Megan and I piled our 5 kids under 6 in her van and drove an hour and a half to Flat Rock, NC. It was a great drive, with the leaves starting to change colors in the mountains. The kids were very excited about picking apples!
Madeline was insistent on carrying her own basket.
Jack played hooky from school. It's just kindergarten, right?
There were signs everywhere that said "Don't eat the apples until you pay for them." Apparently they are for the over 6 crowd. Grace and Virginia Ann weren't obeying.
Apple picking wears a girl out.
VA loved hiding in the apple trees.
Two fisting it. Breaking the rules, double. It's how she rolls.
Loved spending the day with these cuties! And we got lots of apples, apple cider doughnuts and apple cider to bring home. I made an apple pie last night and it was delish! Love this time of year!
